AG

AG is a totally self-referential work built on notes and inspirations that from the very beginning has been the basis of his quests into the olfactory universe.

Resins, woods, flowers, aldehydes together with rare and hard to find raw materials are combined into a phantasmagorical creation, extremely dense and concentrate forever changing on the skin, unveiling unpredictable facets of a complex personality.

The perfume itself is an ode to an imaginary world that the perfumer built in years of research and experimentation, a world made of contrasts and juxtapositions filled with surprising and conceptual ideas.

AG opens with a dense citrus accord together with green sparkling notes, it quickly fades into a complex bouquet of carnal white leaking flowers. A sharp and thorny rose fights against an imaginary jasmine, gardenia and ylang ylang’s bush fiercely standing in the middle of a blooming field. On this field’s boundary a verdant forest rises with its grand cedarwood trees, cypresses, junipers and oaks beckoning you inside. Once inside the wood a thick smell of resins and moist mosses lead the senses to a comfortable grotto where they calm down (fall asleep) hugged by the sacred heat of amber notes and incense clouds.

The AG perfume project is a limited edition.

The AG perfume project was produced in 66 classic bottles - 50 ml and in a special "arts&crafts" edition of 33 special bottles - 100 ml

The AG perfume project "arts&crafts" edition contains a specially commissioner ceramic cap made by the Italian artist Livio Scarpella and a gold embroidered silk handkerchief made by Maria Francesca Broggini.

THE CERAMIC CAP by Livio Scarpella

Each ceramic cap is a unique sculpture of its own, being entirely hand modelled. They are enriched with irregular variations of form, giving an organic effect that pleases the eye and the touch. The cap is made using the Third Firing ceramic technique. The white and the oxidized copper glazes on the surface of the cap create random effects resembling seaweed, moss and lichen. In the third firing the pure gold details on the insect shape are added.

Livio Scarpella is an Italian contemporary artist who has received many awards and recognitions in the past decades. He won first prize at the Mediterranea Biennale in 2005 and he was invited to exhibit his work at the the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011. His work has been used for book covers and magazines illustrations. Livio is a painter and a sculpture living in Brescia (Italy). His art combines extremely refined technical skills rooted in a grand artistic tradition with a very personal and contemporary sensory view of reality.

THE SILK HANDKERCHIEF by Maria Francesca Broggini

The handkerchief is made with pure Shantung silk, hand dyed with tea. Bogue-profumo’s signature insect icon is hand embroidered with threads and purls made of 24 kt gold, using an ancient technique of Goldwork embroidery. The embroidery itself is a real jewel. On each handkerchief the bug is positioned in a different spot, making it unique.

Maria Francesca Broggini is the textile artist behind Aembrosia Luxury embroidery: she designs and embroiders every creation herself in her atelier in Monza (Italy). She takes an artistic approach to embroidery and brings to it a personal and poetic twist. Maria Francesca creates fragments of beauty, using the most ancient and prestigious techniques of hand embroidery in a creative and contemporary way. Goldwork embroidery has been used since the middle ages to adorn coronation and Papal robes.
