Mari&co’ factory space
Milano 2014
An olfactory project and an installation created with Francesca Gotti to celebrate the mystery of summer’s fields and tomato gardens. The scent of Solanum lycopersicum’s leaves, the rich flesh of tomatoes, the heat warming the surrounding spices and herbs have been mixed with earthly animal fragrances and a shadow of a faraway old rose to create a water based perfume that slowly drips from a chemical lab’s glassware onto an incandescent stainless steel disc. Small clouds appears, the smoke raises from the ground under a holy rain and the drops creates explosive little sounds while scent find its way throughout the space. A dry field in a summer afternoon where the soil is thirsty and generously awaiting to open its cracks to the sky. (Ph. Francesca Gotti)
